Well, kids, I was expecting this, but hoped it wouldn't go down. Last night Chris Stokes, Raz B and Ricky Romance had a nice, quiet, family style dinner, at, notorious, paparazzi swarmed hotspot Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills's agency district. Photo op, much?
Two days ago TNU reported exclusively that the Chris Stokes camp had opted not to take legal action against Raz B and his brother Ricky Romance for their molestation allegations. Why? Maybe it's because you can only claim defamation, when someone's said something that isn't true? Or perhaps because any litigation would have led to all kinds of skeletons getting yanked out of the TUG closet?
As we reported, this matter will be played out entirely in the court of public perception.
****EXCLUSIVE INFORMATION****
I'm on the phone with my dear friend and top Hollywood publicist, who is probably as close to this situation as one can get without being in the family. She says that Stokes and the Thornton brothers have decided to reach a financial agreement. An agreement that will include "project deals" for both brothers.
According to her sources Stokes has been physically ill since the allegations of molestation were weighed against him. In fact, several business deals, including a film were jeopardized as a result. "Everyone was coming out of the woodworks, making claims against Chris, and it just wasn't good for business. The reason DeMario and Ricky spoke out in the first place is because Chris had been dissing them for years. He made a lot of promises that he didn't keep, and they brought the ghosts of the past out."
This is a sad, tawdry situation, y'all. No real winners. It seems like both sides decided to take the path of least resistance. For Raz and Ricky pursuing a criminal case against Stokes with only circumstantial evidence (if that), would have been an expensive, uphill battle. And for Stokes, perhaps continuing to pay for silence was the easiest option? It's typical for abuse victims to become "users" when they get older and realize the power behind what they know.
And I guess that's the Hollywood game, kids. Use and get used just the same....

This is just a horrible situation. If Raz B and Ricky Romance's allegations were true (which I think they are), then what do they think they are accomplishing by letting Chris Stokes buy them?
They look like a bunch of money-whore lowlifes, who are going to have a very hard time maintaining any kind of credibility with ANYONE inside or outside of the industry.
Besides re-affirming that most people have a price, Raz B gives the impression that being pedophilia is no big deal. All you need is some cash and fame (or infamy) and things will work out. What about all that nonsense he said in his early videos about standing up for victims? I guess he's a liar. His actions will definitely come back to bite him in the a**, though, that's for sure. Justice always makes its way down the pike somehow.
And if Chris Stokes thinks everything is now swept under the rug, he is sadly mistaken. Unless he has truly repented, confessed his sins (to somebody) and has genuinely changed his ways, then he's gonna continue to be plagued by these rumors and accusations (which have apparently been cropping up since 2002!...where there's smoke, there's fire) for the rest of his life. GOD doesn't sleep, y'all.
I just hope the cycle of abuse doesn't continue. According to Law and Order (I couldn't help myself :), there's a great probability that victims of child abuse/molestation end up becoming abusers/molesters themselves.

But one of the comments really caught me off guard. Maybe Raz b and Ricky Romance are doing all of this just to get close to tug and get hard core proof on them so they can come back stronger than ever.at I dont know its something that ive been comtemplating and the more i think about it the more it fits. I don't know if any damage control could save stokes' behind, he's going to have a hard time selling the whack music his label produces with such a reputation. Besides, they're not the most successful label, since b2k's breakup we barely heard about tug anyway! If Ricky and Raz meant bizness they would have gone to the autorities with their rape stories, I believe it did happen to them though but it now seems more like a power trip: by exposing stokes they sure have found a way to control a pedophile! what kind of resolution is that!
